"Some people are born criminals. Others are driven to it."
There could be a kernel of truth to that statement. Perhaps some people, ordinary, regular law-abiding citizens, are doing their part, working their jobs, when something happens that tilts their world.
Consider Simon Ellis. A quiet, steady guy. He keeps his head down, always working in the background, taking care of business.
Until that fateful day.
When something comes to light that changes how he sees the world.
Will Simon just let it go and continue as before?
Will he be driven to something else?
Something criminal.

What Readers Are Saying!

Mark Love’s newest is Part-Time Criminal, a novella that is impossible to put down. Love’s impressive story-telling skills are on full display as he makes the reader a willing accomplice to a fast-moving tale of revenge and reinvention (as well as a virtual primer on DIY computer crime). As always with a writer named Love, there is a dollop of romance here to further sweeten an already delicious plot. A wonderful addition to his growing body of excellent crime fiction. Highly recommended.

Part-Time Criminal was a great, short read that I read in less than 2 days! This was my first book I've read by Mark, and I can say with certainty that I will be reading more. His storytelling pulls you in and doesn't lose you, even when the book is done! I couldn't help but feel that there was more to the ending, but that is where your imagination comes in with filling in the rest. I already have my next read, Why 319?, lined up. I'm really looking forward to diving in and reading more of Marks books. Highly recommend.

I have read all of Mark Love's books, and have never had one that I did not enjoy. His story lines and characters are entertaining and believable. His use of dialogue to keep the story moving, keeps my interest in what is going to happen next. His latest, 'Part=Time Criminal', is no exception. A story of subtle revenge of a wrong. I am looking forward to his next book!

I couldn't put it down. A fun read about one guy who has just had it with a co-worker. A bit different than Love's Jaimie Richmond and Jefferson Chene series. Full of twists and turns, a good read. I highly recommend it.

Entertaining book, with unique plot. Mr Love creates endearing characters and keeps it light by bringing in some characters from his other books.
