What's Next?
Martin Sheen as President Jed Bartlet I've always been a fan of The West Wing. Over the years I've enjoyed watching it on the streaming services. The writing, acting and direction were excellent. The cast of characters were realistic and their interactions always added to the drama. One of Sheen's trademark lines was "What's next?" That's an appropriate sentiment for the latest updates on writing, a sneak peek, a new release, works in progress, the new slate of events and

Frozen February
A Lighthouse on Lake Michigan Baby, it's cold outside! Most of the continental US is dealing with the wrath of Mother Nature. Here in Michigan, there has been a record number of sub zero days and more snow than I ever wanted. In a recent 10 day stretch, more than two feet of snow arrived, mostly in the middle of the night. Brand New Year
2026 has arrived. A new year means a fresh start in so many ways. Happy New Year. (Yes, it's the middle of the month, but it still counts!) It's a wrap
It's time to put a bow on this year and wrap things up. Like anyone else, 2025 was filled with peaks and valleys of activity. I participated in more events than ever before, met a lot of great people, interacted with quite a few authors and sold a bunch of books. Now it's time to catch my breath. I can turn my attention to writing and formulate a plan or two (it's always good to have a backup plan) as we head into 2026. So here's my thoughts on writing, updates on my curr

Changing times
Yes, it's that time of year again. Here in the Mitten State, we've gone back to Eastern Standard Time. The colorful leaves which were dancing in abundance with an occasional autumnal breeze only a week or two have dropped from the trees, taking up residence on the lawns and streets. The holiday season is fast approaching. Meanwhile, here's an update about writing, projects, events (yes, one more time!) and music. Here we go. Writing During a meeting with the writer's group a
